We can all be a part of this life-changing work.

Some estimate that 25% of the population may experience the effects of tongue- or lip-ties, and many don’t even know it! As a professional who works in pediatrics, you see families struggling with symptoms, but you may not have sufficient information to offer a meaningful solution. This isn’t something you were taught about in dental or medical school, after all.

No one is better positioned than you to educate families on the positive effects that releasing a tongue-tie can have on a child’s eating, sleeping, and speech. That’s why we offer comprehensive education and training resources to practitioners in powerfully helpful roles like yours—dentists, physicians, speech therapists, lactation consultants, and more. We are so passionate about this work that we donate all course fees to organizations that help women, children, and families thrive.

Tongue-Tied, the Book

Dr. Baxter’s book, Tongue Tied: How a Tiny String Under the Tongue Impacts Nursing, Speech, Feeding, and More is a comprehensive resource for parents and professionals who would like up-to-date information about symptoms and treatment of tongue- and lip-ties.

Tongue-Tied Academy Course

Our Tongue-Tied Academy online course is designed for dentists and physicians who are interested in adding tie-releases to their practices. This signature course walks you through symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and real case studies of mouth restrictions. It includes a step-by-step guide to adding this service to your practice or starting a tongue-tie release clinic in your area.

If you are a lactation consultant, speech therapist, or professional who works with young children and you want to be informed but not treat, we offer Tongue-Tied Academy LITE, a truncated version of our signature course that excludes instruction on release procedures.

Live Course

If you are ready to join us in this work that has improved the lives of thousands of patients and you have completed Tongue-Tied Academy, Dr. Baxter would like to invite you to his clinic in Birmingham, Alabama for a Live Course!

During this advanced training, you will accompany Dr. Baxter for an in-person look at The Tongue-Tie Center and will join no more than four of your peers to learn to implement treatments in your own practice.

Not sure where to begin? We’re happy to help.

Please also share our patient-centered resources as you need them.

As a pediatric professional, equipping your patients’ families with information about tongue-ties is essential. We would be pleased to provide your office with resources that have been effective in helping parents recognize and understand the symptoms of tongue-ties, lip-ties, and their treatment options.
