Hope for fussy, gassy, and colicky babies.
For parents of newborns, feeding and tummy troubles can be worrying, especially when the reason isn’t clear. What many don’t realize is that these difficulties might be due to an undiagnosed tongue-tie or lip-tie. If your baby shows any of these symptoms, it’s worth exploring:
- excessive gas
- frequent hiccups
- colic
- reflux
- spit-ups
- challenges with nursing or bottle-feeding
Reach out to our team—by phone or message—to see if a consultation might be right for you. We’ve helped thousands of moms and babies from across the Southeast and around the world find solutions that make feeding easier and the newborn phase more enjoyable.

Maybe you’ve noticed these baby tongue-tie symptoms.
Tongue-tie (Ankyloglossia) is a birth condition that limits tongue movement due to a short, thick, or tight band of tissue (lingual frenulum) tethering the tongue’s tip to the mouth floor. This can cause breastfeeding challenges and may contribute to gassiness and colic in babies. Tongue-ties can be subtle and hard to detect, leading to many undiagnosed cases. Click here for the complete symptom list. If your baby has more than a few of these items, then a consultation would be worthwhile.

Welcome to The Alabama Tongue-Tie Center.
We treat tongue- and lip-ties in infants through adults with the latest techniques and protocols. Parents also choose us to revise and fix incomplete clips or snips of their child’s tie performed elsewhere. Here’s what you can expect:
Immediate Attention
We know what it’s like to struggle with nursing or feeding issues, so we accept same-day appointments when possible. If we see a problem, we can often address it during your first visit.
Thorough Evaluations
The process of diagnosing a tongue-tie involves taking an in-depth history, completing in-person pretreatment assessments, and examining the mouth, head, and neck structures. We cover it all.
HOnest Pricing
While we’re out-of-network with medical insurance, we provide a claim form, and many of our patients receive some reimbursement. All fees are discussed upfront, and all follow-up visits are included. Parents often tell us the procedure is worth every penny because their baby feeds and feels better.
Lasting Solutions
Often, a snip or a clip with scissors leaves thick tissue behind. With our innovative technique, we remove the entire restriction quickly, easily, and as gently as possible. Plus, in the rare chance that it grows back within a year, we’ll fix it again for free!
